I’ve planned not to hire a professional photographer for my wedding. Am i consider as a cheap person? ?
Most of everyone in my family own a digital camera. Almost every time we got together, we took hundreds of pictures. So, we thought that it’s not necessary to hire a photographer and that will save us some money. But i don’t want people in my family think that we’re too cheap. Should we hire one or not. Please help
You want to hire a photographer. There will be moments in your wedding or at the reception that no one will see except for the photographer. We also put out cameras on our tables, but the pictures that were developed were of just the people sitting at the table. This is what we wanted but it would not be ideal to capture the events of the wedding. Think about this, whos going to take a picture of you two walking back down the isle as husband and wife if everything and their cameras and behind you in the chairs? Some of my favorite pics are of me and my hubby walking down the isle right after the moment. Guests cant capture. Now if your not that interested in having an album and photographs are not that important, then dont hire a photographer. But if you want those moments, you should get one.
Did you hire a professional photographer for your wedding? How much did it cost?
Yes I did.
It cost £1,500 for partial coverage of our wedding… Ceremony and photo shoot afterwards only. It included 500 photos and 200 of them printed as 4 x 6″ photos.
Full coverage (ceremony and reception) would have cost nearer £2,400.
I had friends interested in photography cover the reception and later collected copies of the digital photos from nearly all the cameras (8+) at our wedding. (over 1,000) LOL!
The amateur photos turned out pretty good too.
