Although by traditional standards Kaylie and Martin may have left their wedding photography a little late to organise, we were able to offer a full Wedding Day service. Kaylie declined the inclusive “getting ready” segment of the day which, as it turned out was most fortunate.
The wedding ceremony was at the popular St Mary’s church in the small picturesque village of Adderbury, population normally circa 2,500. However, today was the village Morris Dancing and grudge Football Match Day that was making the village bulge outwards under the sheer weight of all the extra people, organisers and police milling around.
Consequently the ceremony was a little late starting but the church is a photographers gift, being both photogenic and light at the same time. Due to all the passers by it was impossible to take the group photos at the church and time was rapidly running out so Kaylie and Martin opted to escape Adderbury for the Holt Hotel.
The Holt is a perfect local venue for weddings, due mainly to the staff and management running everything like clockwork. We never really recovered from the over-run at the church and the time it took to get out of Adderbury, so by the time we could start the Bride and Groom photos it was getting rather dark. Here are a selection of images from the wedding day:
